Sound & Drumming

Drumming

Shamanic drumming has been used for thousands of years. It was probably one of the first musical instruments made. Drumming has been used throughout history for healing, journeying and ceremonies by Shamans, medicine men and women. It is still used in many different cultures and communities. Shamanic drumming helps to ground our thoughts and clear our minds, bringing about deep relaxation. It helps with feelings of stress and anxiety and can help you release your own natural powers to heal. All just by beating a drum - anyone can beat a drum.

The healing power of the drum should never be underestimated.

Group Drumming
Janet has been drumming for a few years now and holds regular group drumming circles, help you drum out whatever feelings you are holding on to and compliments traditional talk therapy methods. Although it may seem very primitive it is proving to be very beneficial in the world we live in today. Drumming can be very therapeutic, helping us connect back to ourselves.Reiki Drumming PractitionerJanet has been using Reiki drumming within her holistic practice for some time now. It is a specialised method of holistic healing and it is made up of three treatments. Basically, Reiki Drumming channels the Reiki energy more deeply into a client's energy field by the sound waves of the drum, helping the client to relax and heal. The three treatments used are :-1. Reiki Drum - Mental/Emotional reprogramming technique.2. Reiki Drum - Journey3. Reiki Drum - Healing TechniqueAfter a drumming treatment has finished, the session is completed with Hands On Reiki.
Sound Healing

Sound healing is nothing new as it can be traced back to ancient
civilisations. It can be very powerful, and works on all levels -
physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. As sound travels
four times faster through water than through air, and as the human
body is made up of 70% fluid, humans react well to sound healing.
Modern medicine now uses sound waves to break up kidney and
gallstones in the body. Sound healing is a therapeutic and
meditative experience, where you bathe in the sounds and
vibrations that are produced by different instruments like the gongs,
crystal and Himalayan bowls, shamanic drums and other percussion
instruments. Not forgetting the voice of course, whether that is
chanting/mantra, humming or toning, the voice is a very powerful
instrument. Through these sounds and vibrations, your mind can
enter a meditative and relaxed state, helping to reduce anxiety,
tension, sadness and pain, along with many other conditions.

Sound helps to promote healing, relaxation and self care. It can lower heart rates and blood pressure. Intention plays a big part in sound healing, below is a quote from Jonathon Goldman from his book Healing Sounds.
If we combine a pure sound frequency with a pure intention then healing will occur.
Frequency + Intention = Healing

Janet holds group sound baths and also collaborates with colleagues offering retreats, workshops and events. She also practises one to one sound healing treatments from her therapy room.

One to one sound healing session - uses different instruments and can be tailored to the individual. The aim of the session is to help clients to relax and let go of stress by reaching into the very soul of you. This can be a deeply healing, therapeutic and a transformative experience.

Balancing Chakras with Sound
Let the healing vibrations of the singing bowls guide you to a more balanced and healthy life.
Before we explore how sound can balance charkas, let's briefly
understand what chakras are. Chakras are the energy centres
within the human body, and each of the seven primary chakras
correspond to different aspects of our physical, emotional and
spiritual well-being. When these chakras are in harmony, energy
flows smoothly through the body and we experience a sense of
balance and vitality. However, when they become blocked or
imbalanced, it can lead to physical, emotional and spiritual
disease.
When we use sound to balance our chakras, the benefits are
numerous. Helping with sleep, reducing stress, anxiety and
enhancing overall wellbeing. As well as being a beautiful and
relaxing experience.
The session will start with a calming meditation, then using her
crystal singing bowls or her beautiful Himalayan bowls and
utilising her pendulum to dowse your chakras, Janet will tailor the
healing session to your needs, finishing off with hands on Reiki.
This is a beautiful and relaxing treatment,

NEXT EVENT
MEDITATION, SOUND JOURNEY AND SACRED CACAO.
I enjoy collaborating with different colleagues and I always know it will be a fab night when I team up with my lovely friend, Yvette Haines .
We will offer reiki within the meditation and sound journey. Which will further help to harmonise and balance you, encouraging you to let go of your thoughts, allowing yourself to become deeply relaxed and calm.
You will feel the healing beats of the shamanic drum, as Janet channels the outer world energy of ancient light language, which will connect to the very soul of you.
Then we will listen to the silence (so important), before sharing sacred cacao, as you reflect on your journey.
I can’t wait, why not come and join us
